VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
At the Window
I stood at the window in Jerusalem, watching the sun rise over the city.
There was something about that moment—the light, the stillness, the beauty—that stopped me in my tracks. It felt like more than just a sunrise. It felt like a reminder.
Later, as I reflected on the photo I had taken, I noticed the archways in the architecture. Arches are designed to draw the eye upward. They symbolize strength, support, and even transition—leaving the old behind and stepping into something new.
That thought stayed with me.
During that same trip, I lost something meaningful—a black headscarf I had owned for years. I searched everywhere but couldn’t find it. I was disappointed.
But I returned home with something far greater.
A renewed passion for God’s Word.
A deeper understanding of His love.
A fresh perspective on life.
“I am making everything new!” — Revelation 21:5 (NIV)
Sometimes we lose things—plans, comfort, possessions, even seasons of life.
But God is always doing something new.
Looking back, I realize I left something behind in that place—but I gained so much more in return.
As you step into a new season, I want to encourage you:
Look up.
Walk forward.
Trust what God is doing.
Because the one thing we can never lose… is Him.
