VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
The Forgotten Fathers
I have been waiting over a decade for the chance to ask my forgiveness. He told me he felt he had failed to protect me and our child. He had been carrying the pain, regret, and shame all those years.
In that moment, I had a choice: hold onto unforgiveness… or release it.
Scripture made the decision clear: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
I chose forgiveness—and it changed both of our lives.
What I came to realize is this: men are hurting too.
For decades, society has told men they have no voice in the decision of abortion. They are told to step back, stay silent, and simply “support” the decision. But the truth is, these children had fathers—and those fathers carry pain, grief, and regret.
I have spoken with countless men who describe feeling “haunted.”
God created men to protect. When that role is stripped away, something deep within them is wounded.
Healing begins when we acknowledge the truth.
Men matter. Their voices matter. Their role as fathers matters.
And for those carrying regret—there is hope, healing, and redemption in Christ.
