What a Testimony!
Three months ago, my husband took a fall from his horse. A few days later, while lying in the hospital, he said something unexpected:
“This needed to happen.”
Until that moment, I had felt guilty for thinking something similar. Deep down, I sensed God was using this situation to show us His goodness in a new way.
Friends surrounded us with prayer. Life slowed down in ways we didn’t expect, and we were forced to trust God in deeper ways.
Doctors told us it could take a year before my husband would walk normally again.
But God had other plans.
Today he is standing on his feet, back at his shop, building and painting again. He still feels stiff and walks with a slight limp, but we have no doubt that God took something terrible and turned it into something good.
Through this difficult season, we gained another testimony to share.
Scripture reminds us:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.” (Romans 8:28)
Sometimes the very moments that knock us to our knees become the moments that strengthen our faith the most.
When life feels like it’s falling apart, God is often working behind the scenes—turning pain into purpose and trials into testimonies.
And when we look back, we can say with confidence:
Lord, You were there all along.
