EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE

Every day of our lives, you and I are controlled by something….We might allow our ego or expectations of other people to control us, or other outside influences. But what we really should be doing is looking to our Lord with a heart of relinquishing our control to HIM!

It should only be God who has ultimate control, but do we release ourselves to Him in all areas? He should have it given over willingly by our personal hearts change. Please pray. Prayer, you are able to release to God full control over your life.

If you are controlled by fear, guilt, resentment, or bitterness, or maybe even a substance or a habit, the bottom line is that you are controlled by something other than God every day.

Freedom came to me the day that I relinquished all my control in full surrender to my Lord. For me, it was a moment in time I will never forget. I was in the Garden Tomb area in Israel when I surrendered my life and my personal control over it all- to my Lord. Do you have a defining moment when you surrendered all control to Jesus? If yes, I pray that you know when that moment was and continue to thank God He still holds that.

“Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires… Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.” (Romans 6:12-13)

Giving God control is a choice, as I stated. We have to admit and make the decision of release, especially when we’ve been trying to play God. We have to be real that. We can’t change situations on our own. We must ask God for His help.

Accountability is very important in your life when you do this. So if you can be honest with someone else about things that you need to change in your life, then do so. I had to have strong accountability people in my own life when I first surrendered all my control to God. God let me know this full well. I knew they would help me stay the course. Give Jesus total ownership of your life! You will not be sorry.

Do you want change? Do you want freedom?

If you’re like I was, I had to first realize it, then stop trying and start trusting in God to give me the option to either depend on Him or continue depending on myself. The first option was life-changing for me! God is first choice! You’re result is going to either be freedom or frustration. Which way do you choose?
