EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

Proverbs 3:11-12 “My Son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent His rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, as a Father the Son He delights in.”

It’s not easy being disciplined; or told we’re doing something wrong. If we’re not careful we can let pride get in our way and harden our hearts so that we don’t let the sound advice influence wise choices.

We need to open our hearts and receive the wisdom of God’s word letting it penetrate our hearts so that it starts to mold the negative habits. It molds into a progression of righteous habits that follow God’s will for our lives.

The Lord’s correction is never one that scolds but reprimands with an unconditional love that caters to our need and makes us whole again. After correction, God will heal our hearts so that solutions can be administered and then growth. New beginnings can start to form from the strongholds that have been torn down by the Father’s power and love.

Healing comes in the form of God’s mighty direction, wisdom and compassion. It instills in us the ability to respond to His correction in a humbling, respective love. What a beautiful place it is to be reconciled to the God of our creation.
