“Father Forgive Us”
Are we crying out to God to have mercy on us and on our nation? We see in scripture that this is what always moved God’s hand when His people repented and cried out for His mercy on them! We need to do this.
He tells us in: (2 Chronicles 7:14)… “If my people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Last week our church had a week of prayer where we gathered every night to pray. While I was praying, I overheard our Pastor talking to another pastor about the Old Testament and how God’s people cried out for mercy on the nations.
Something stirred in my heart, I knew I needed to write a song crying out for mercy! I also knew it was supposed to be named ‘Father Forgive Us’…
… so I went home that night, found music, and wrote then recorded this song.
The next morning I shared it online and now it’s touching hearts… and I praise God for that! May your heart be blessed today as you listen below. Press the link.
This song is my prayer..the cry of my heart.. asking God to deal mercifully with us as His people. I pray that it pleases the Lord and moves His hand. For we have all gone astray and been distracted in this kingdom of darkness. “We are going off the edge, and there is no turning back”. Jesus Christ is our only hope! We need Him to save us from ourselves and from this evil world.
