EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Wisdom is a good thing. I can not get enough of it. God tells me I can have all I want if I just ask Him for it in James 1:5. But His Word also says this:
“The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.” ( Proverbs 19:8)
Many of us love life, but are we filled with contentment? Do we step back at the end of the day and look at what we got done or not done and still be able to say that our life is good?
Godly contentment is a gift from our loving God that allows us to be “good” with wherever we are in life.
Don’t get me wrong, we should all want to grow, but we need to learn to be content with where we are and who we are in Christ and know we are OK with the God who breathed breath into our lungs.
You are blessed beyond measure for so many reasons. The Bible also says, “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding.” (Proverbs 3:13)
A great exercise, and one that I do each and every morning, is to count my blessings. List them in the morning as you wake up, walk, or take breaks on the job. It changes your perspective on everything in life to the “good” when you can take time out to seek wisdom from God.
