EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Today’s guest writer, Laurie Sammarco, Pembroke Pines, Fl.
John 10:10 (NLT)
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
God is so good to us!
How many times have we allowed our minds to wander and borrow from despair and worry that wells up inside us and that the adversary places in our path?
The devil tortures us with thoughts that are not of God, always taunting us with the possibilities of failure. But our God is so much greater than that, and He wants so much more for us!
God does not want us to be wallowing in the pit of hopelessness. Those despondent thoughts will take us nowhere and keep us in a forlorn state of mind that has no promise for advancement.
We need to be growing in the Lord daily so that our minds are set free and ready to absorb what the Lord wants to share with us. We can’t grow and enjoy what’s to come if we are stuck and attached to strongholds that have no benefit to us.
Seize the day and expect more from God. May we heed the words of 1 Corinthians 9:26. “So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should.”
We should always be driven by God’s teachings and relinquish to Him all that sets us back from becoming the person that God wants us to be.
God’s truth has been spoken; please listen intently to what has been said and remember to uphold His righteousness as you live life abundantly with great fervor.
