EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Slow down today and take a breath. Eliminating hurry from our lives is critical and could affect our quality of life.
When we can eliminate hurry, we become present and more aware of our surroundings. We can become more aware of God in our lives all around us.
As I went for my morning walk, I felt the warm, rushing wind on my face and smelled some interesting flowers. I thought with God about what to write today. I was intentionally experiencing the fullness of life today and enjoyed every second and God’s creation as I walked in joy this morning. It helped me to be present with God. I knew I was going to write about this.
Being in a hurry and not experiencing God on my walk is not a well-lived life. It’s my time to be in the moment of solitude and to see Him in all creation and know as He walks with me, He cares. It’s pure enjoyment.
God is gracious and wants us to have a deeper-fulfilled life. When we eliminate hurry, the Holy Spirit can come alongside us and strengthen us. He strengthened me today just allowing me to feel the warm wind on my face and smell the beautiful flowers blooming. Yes, it was strength-building because quite honestly, I was feeling very weak starting off today.
God instructs us to learn from things in nature. Stop and smell the roses.
In scripture, He says; “Look at the birds of the air and how they neither sow nor reap but are fed by their Father in the heavens.” (Matthew 6:26)
Stop and observe and learn lessons. It’s fun. To do this, we must slow down. God provided a lesson to be learned for me in watching some birds as I walked. He makes a point to us! He provides more for them than they will ever need.
If we live our lives close to God, unhurried in life, we will see we have access to more than we’ll ever need.
God is at work in you and has a plan for your life. Please slow down to hear His voice and see the goodness of who He is in your life.
(Philippians 1:6)
