EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
We are studying the word gentleness this month in Women World Leaders. It’s one of the fruits of the Spirit.
Many a time in our lives we come across other people who need to display fruits of the spirit in their lives but may not understand how. Many of us have friends that when a crisis comes, they seek us out to help pray, as we are their only “hotline” to heaven?
It can be difficult to continuously pray for others and ALL of their unending requests and some just don’t have that time to commit. What happens when someone comes to you in true need?
Unbelievers in your world should tell by your life, that you are a praying person and that they can depend on you to intercede for them with the only One who can truly make a difference. You must make time with a gentle and loving Spirit because they need you. You may be the only connection for God in their lives for now.
We need to see helping others is a privilege and we should ask God for more of these opportunities to love on our neighbors. We should desire this privilege and not shun from it. Ask God for a heart change if the commitment to prayer is a burden to you. We must all count it as joy to serve our King whenever we are asked. I speak to myself as well.
You may be the “key” to unlock someone’s eternity allowing your gentleness, kindness, and willingness to help to shine through. Please pray for them and let your light come through everything else in your life. Show true love and concern for them.
Important: follow up with others after you commit to pray for them. Ask them what the outcome is after you pray for them, or if they need more prayer. This is time-consuming, yes, but you committed to pray, right? Be assured your praises are as valuable as your prayers.
God will use you in ways you can’t imagine through your willing heart.
