VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
I Am Never Alone
Lord, sometimes it feels like the world is falling apart. Sometimes my own life looks nothing like I thought it would. Dreams remain unfulfilled. Disappointment settles in. Worry fires its arrows, and my thoughts scatter across the battlefield of daily living.
A broken marriage. A child’s addiction. The loss of someone we love. A diagnosis. Financial stress. Loved ones who don’t know You.
Waiting.
So much waiting.
Yet in the middle of it all, one truth remains:
I am never alone.
I know this, Lord. But help me live like I know it. When loneliness rises, remind me that You are near. When my emotions threaten to consume my joy and peace, anchor me again in what is true. You will never fail me. You will never reject me. You go before me.
You guide me when I hold Your hand and comfort me when I sit at Your feet.
Your Word promises, “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:8, NIV).
So when I’m passing through turbulent waters, walking through valleys of doubt, or standing in a fire that seems hotter than I can bear, help me look directly into the loving eyes of Jesus.
I will read Your Word until my heart remembers. I will worship You until my thoughts become anchored again. I will stand upon the Rock when everything else feels uncertain.
And every day You give me breath on this earth, I will remind my soul:
God is here. God knows my name. God is holding me. I am never alone.
