God’s Word is the application we need to follow in order to live by His perfect will. I was taught by my family to take my first steps, say my first words and to trust in those that pour love into me.
That foundation was the beginning of living life; the milk that sustained me until I was ready to eat meals with more substance and textures. When introduced to God and His word, He did the same thing for me.
We first learn who He is and the sacrifice He made for us, then He gradually lays down the foundation, morals we are to live by and little by little, so that we are not overwhelmed, He teaches us how to live by His standards.
Slowly, we are molded to look and act as He does, and with each day that passes, we chip away the old habits that serve no purpose and implement what we have learned from Jesus and His Word. What He teaches us through His word draws us closer to Him and helps us to live life with a purpose that was meant for us and created by Him.
