EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

As Christ followers, we are to be on guard and stay aware of some serious things! Satan is constantly on the attack. Even though we know the truth of this from God’s Word (1 Peter 5:8), we don’t realize it is happening. We are to resist him, and he will flee.

You understand as believers that you have all the power and authority from God to block him and make him run away from you!

We live as sojourners in an enemy kingdom. We are not of this world, but we are in it for a time as God’s ambassadors.

“So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” (2 Cor. 5:20)

Most of the world seems to be playing by a set of rules dictated by the enemy. Pride, fear, envy, lust, and hatred, it all makes his world go around as if its golden. Unfortunately, Christ followers are unaware of the weaknesses of our own flesh, and are just as susceptible to his ways and schemes. Resisting the enemy and running to God is what needs to be done every time you are targeted.

James 4:7 to resist the enemy, “Submit yourselves…to God.” Please don’t fall for the easy believism that says, because you prayed a prayer once and “asked Jesus into your heart,” that you never need to worry about hell. Or think, and that is all there is to being a Christ follower. Satan loves for people to believe this because it leaves them powerless against him.

But those who want to resist the enemy truly believe God and His Word and proclaim it over ourselves. Surrender to God. It is the path of life everlasting.

“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Please realize that Satan and other “devils” are behind much of even our own sin. Satan whispers a lie or accusation to us, we listen to the thought, our emotions get triggered, and then BAM!, we react to these satanic emotions, and we sin.

It’s really sad because we can actually resist the devil, and the Bible says he will “flee”. After submitting to God, we can ignore his lies. “Take every thought captive” (2 Cor 10:5) and then keep your eyes on Christ, to whom you have given your whole life!

Satan will flee when you resist. Perhaps his greatest lie is that he cannot be resisted… think about that.
