EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Jesus looks at us with love and compassion, and His eyes and heart are full. We are His sheep. When we fall or are “cast” (meaning we are knocked down and can’t get back up ), He comes eagerly and quickly. He is always ready to help, to save, and to restore.
God knows our human needs. He knows when we fall. In His Word, His tenderness was used to restore Peter’s soul after the terrible tragedy of his temptations.
God comes to each of us quickly and quietly when we call on Him for help. No matter where we are or how cast down we’ve become, God gives us a good word.
“You Have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.” (Psalm 56:13)
Though most of us desire to be under God’s control and endeavor to be led by Him, we occasionally find ourselves knocked down, and we stumble and then fall.
As like sheep, we look to our Shepherd, so He is able to remedy the situation with help when we fall.
In His love, God never asks us to do more than we can face or handle. (1 Corinthians 10:13) He strengthens and fortifies our faith and confidence in His control. He restores our souls. (Read Psalm chapter 23.)
God certainly knows what he is doing with each of us when we get cast down. Take heart; your Shepherd is near to you. You are not alone, and He will help.
