EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Does your attitude reveal who you are? What are you carrying in your personal demeanor that reflects any fruits of the spirit of God?
Your attitude is a direct expression of your thought life. I have to take a hard look at my own self when I think about this statement. What is happening today in my thought life? Sometimes I can have a bad attitude because things may not necessarily look bright and beautiful outside or in my life, I may be having a difficult day. I need to be renewing my mind in Christ daily,  it takes conscientious effort.
When my thoughts are not going in the right direction of honoring God, my attitude is one of being sour and poor. Any thoughts of God-honoring fruit bring about a great attitude. Those fruits of joy, peace, gentleness, meekness, and more are found clearly stated in God’s word. When we have bad attitudes, those attitudes are not honoring our Lord.
“What we wear in our hearts, we wear on our face.” Someone once said that statement and it stuck with me.
My pastor said, stop saying, “I can’t” and start saying, ” I can do ALL things through Christ.”
Stop saying “if”….and start saying “I will by God’s grace.” Stop saying “it’s impossible,”  and declare “NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE to those that believe.
And remember this, don’t think of yourself as uneducated because God tells us in James 1:5 if any one of us lacks wisdom, we could ask God for it and He’ll give it to us generously if we ask. He promises and God keeps His promise to us.
Do we ever need to have a bad attitude with abilities we can hold in God’s promises to us?
Be an example to all believers in what you say, the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. ( 1Timothy 4:12) NLT
In everything that happens to us on a day-to-day basis, there is an opportunity for joy with the right perspective and right mental attitude. Surround yourselves with others who will pour into you their great attitudes toward life and the Christian walk of faith. It’s a daily struggle and we need to surround ourselves with those who think positively with Christ. With Him all things are possible.
If you’re feeling down,  remember your attitude can make a huge difference to yourself and others in moving forward by faith.
