EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
For many years, I longed for God to call me out of my “comfortable cul-de-sac” and use me in a significant “unlike me” kind of way. But it was a way He already knew in me as my Creator, one foreign to who “I” knew me to be. God certainly did know, and He called me out in His timing.
I was the biggest worrier, fearful of failure, and would want to hide myself before having any confrontation with anything unknown to me. God changed all that, too!
Like the apostle Peter, I love Jesus, and my heart beats wildly for Him. But when given the option of looking at the wind of my fears or looking at Jesus, my fears often won the day. Ok, to all that…But that’s my past.
I’m here to tell you and encourage you that with God, all things are possible! If He’s done it for me, He will do it for you, too, with a willing “yes.” As in Matthew 19:26, where Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
It’s hard to step out of the boat when you’re anchored to your fears but when God steps out with you, those fears dissipate quickly. Yes, yes, yes, they do! God takes over with a love and a peace that passes all understanding when you are walking in His perfect will.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” ( Philippians 4:7)
Remember God’s faithfulness, abundant grace, and unending love for you. He shares all of this with each of us along with His promise to never leave us. That is peace. That is comfort and that is hope for a future of serving Jesus.
Deuteronomy 31:8 …, “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Remember, always…remember! He is right here, right now and with you until He calls you home! And even then, as you leave this earth, you are safe in His arms for eternity.
