My Heart’s Humble Hero
My heart’s humble hero is Jesus. He is the author of courage, mighty in strength, and perfect in His care. He was my Hero yesterday, He is my Hero today, and He will remain my Hero forever. Jesus is unlike any hero this world could offer. He willingly gave His life for you and for me, carrying the weight of every sin, every failure, and every shame upon the cross.
Yet the cross was not the end. My Hero rose again.
Because He lives, I can place every anxious thought, every fear, and every uncertain circumstance into His hands. He has already gone before me, preparing the way. He walks beside me, and even when I wander, He lovingly pursues me and draws me home.
His Word lights the path before me. His truth exposes what needs to be removed from my heart, while His mercy fills the empty places with grace. Scripture tells us, “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57, NIV).
That is the victory in which I can rest. I am reconciled to God. I am chosen.
I am surrounded by His love and equipped with His armor. My debt has been canceled—not because I earned forgiveness, but because my humble Hero paid the price for me.
When the world feels uncertain, I know where my hope is found. When fear rises, I know where my refuge is. When my heart needs healing, I know where to run.
Jesus is my Hero.
My haven. My hope. My healer. And forever, my heart belongs to Him.
