EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Did you know in the Bible that there is a gift of “helps.”?
Those with the gift of helps are those who can aid or give assistance to others in the church with compassion and grace. We are the church, the body of Christ.
This special gift that offers help has a broad range of applications, from helping individuals with daily chores to assisting in the administration of the body of believers. But there is perhaps a deeper meaning to the spiritual gift of helps.
It is one of the spiritual gifts from the Holy Spirit, all of which are given for the building up of the body of Christ.
Those with the spiritual gift of helping have been given the unique ability to identify those who are struggling with doubt, fears, and other spiritual battles.
God has been using Women World Leaders to be a gift of help to others in need. They move toward those in spiritual need with a kind word, an understanding, a compassionate demeanor, and love like Jesus shows us to love.
We pray daily, asking God to give us the ability to speak scriptural truth, share His love with others, share the gospel, and even share in helping others move out of a wrong place, but do so in a loving fashion whenever needed. It has become a sisterhood here.
God says those with the gift of “helps” have their words “like apples of gold in settings of silver” (Proverbs 25:11) to the spiritually weak and weary.
Our helpful Christian sisters can quell anxiety in the downtrodden heart with cheerful and confidently spoken words of truth and joy. Has God appointed you to “help?”
“First are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages.” (1 Corinthians 12:28)
May we all be open to receive such a beautiful gift of “helping others” from our Lord.
