EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE

Sometimes events can whirl around us so quickly that everything in our vision looking ahead gets blurred. Without skipping a beat, we find ourselves operating in our own flesh. It is in these times that life throws curveballs at us. We must not take our eyes off Jesus.

We need to sway to the left and then sway to the right and swallow up God in everything we do. Look for God as your Holy Spirit guide when life is swirling.

I had something blind side me a few months ago and throw a gut punch. I needed to find strength and peace through praying. I prayed in the Name of Jesus every day over all that was swirling in me that didn’t make sense, and in the ministry and the future.

I prayed “Jesus You reign” over my entire life, my home, my comings and goings, and all my activities, and over everything that seemed out of sorts. Crying out to God and speaking “Jesus” helps. When speaking the name of Jesus “out loud” it helps us to stable ourselves and calm us in Him and His truths.

When we plant our feet on the solid rock, we don’t hear lies thrown at us like mud! Yes, we might audibly hear them, but quickly they begin to fall right off, like a body drenched in oil. God’s Holy oil. We can accept each day as it comes to us, no matter what it is and whatever comes with it, when Jesus is our Rock.

We should NOT waste our time or energy wishing for different circumstances. Instead, trust Jesus! He has a plan in everything the enemy tries to silence us with. He goes before us in our battles.

“When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. So it shall be, when you are on the verge of battle, that the priest shall approach and speak to the people. And he shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; for the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’ (Deuteronomy 20:1-4)

Remember, nothing can separate you or me from God’s loving peace and His presence. We belong to Him. We need to do what’s right, always, and seek His face daily. Trust Him for whatever comes at you today, and do not back down. Stand on His word! Stand on His promises, they ring true every time!
