VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Our Personal God
Sometimes I sit quietly and marvel at this: The God who moves mountains, parts seas, heals bodies, opens blind eyes, and rules the entire universe knows me. He knows every move I make. Every tear I cry. Every thought in my head. Every heartache. Every need.
And He knows you too.
Genesis 16:13 calls Him El Roi—the God who sees.
Our God is powerful beyond comprehension, yet unbelievably personal.
He plants seeds within us and provides the soil we need to flourish. And goodness gracious, He can prune! Those pruning seasons aren’t always pleasant, but God sees fruit in us that we cannot yet see. His mighty hand is lovingly shaping our souls. Even when we cannot see or feel Him, He never stops working.
I’ve had seasons when I desperately wanted a tangible reminder that God had not left me. When I’ve asked, He has faithfully sent what I call “God hugs”—a friend, a worship song, a family member, even a stranger who arrives at exactly the right moment.
Little reminders: I see you. I’m here. I’m keeping My promises.
God told Jacob, “I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you” (Genesis 28:15, ESV).
Life is hard. But life is also sweet. So keep looking for Him. Trust His timing even when His answer surprises you.
He wants an intimate relationship with you, and like the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one, He will pursue your heart.
You are that valuable. That cherished. That seen. Look for Him.
He is there.
