EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
God is our source, He provides all our needs, and He is the way to meet our financial needs as well.
“But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.” (Deuteronomy 8:18)
It’s a big question when we seriously don’t know where to find our financial security. Do you look to your employers, your family members, or do you look to God? In reality, we should not depend on anything or anyone, or even look to our investments or assets or any other ways of harvesting income, but we should look to God and ask Him when we are in need.
God provides. He provides everything we need, and we should see it comes from Him and thank Him constantly. God is our source. It’s not our jobs, not our bank accounts, but God. He gives direction on how to take care of our needs. He supplies them all.
I learned many years ago, when I was single and alone, to begin praying for God to open my eyes about my finances and how to depend on Him when I was afraid of my “next” bill to pay or place to live, or job to carry.
God showed me not to worry or fear where my next dollar would come, but to trust in Him. It was a process to learn. It’s a process for any of us to learn when we are desperate. I began looking into His Word and trying to follow His biblical principles, and it began to work.
Just as we depend on drinking water from a faucet, sometimes that faucet can run dry and not function properly. But when we depend on God for our needs to be met in the areas of finance, we can know that God will always deliver. Be rest assured that His supply will never run dry. He makes ways to provide for our every need, every day.
When we worry, we are not trusting God. Pray for more faith to trust that He is going to supply everything you will ever need in this lifetime. He will identify the areas you are struggling and He will offer you help through His word. Search for His answers, ask Him, and trust Him. You must take action and trust.
“The Lord will work out His plans for your life, —for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. ” (Psalm 138:8)
