VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Who Is My God?

For much of my life, I struggled with my identity. A difficult childhood left me hiding my true self and struggling to see anything positive when I looked inward. But as I surrendered my heart to Jesus, something began to change: I started seeing myself through His eyes.

The world constantly tells us who we should be, and social media has only amplified the noise. But as children of God, our identity isn’t established by culture, other people’s opinions, or the image staring back at us. When we truly understand who God is, we begin to understand who we are.

Several years ago, I heard a pastor devote an entire message to describing who her God is. God gripped my heart because I suddenly understood: my identity is based solely on Him.
So who is my God?

He is Creator, eternal and unchanging. He is holy, righteous, loving, faithful, victorious, and good. He is my Savior, Lord, comfort, wisdom, strength, peace, and joy. When I fall, He lifts me. When I fail, He forgives me. When I’m weak, He is strong. When I’m afraid, He gives courage. When I’m broken, He mends me. When I face trials, He remains with me.

And this God sees me.
He sees beyond my struggles and mistakes to the woman He created me to become. He knows my gifts, catches my tears, understands my fears, and sees my place within His greater Kingdom purpose.

Psalm 139:14 declares, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (NIV).

Knowing your identity in Christ is powerful because the enemy wants to keep you questioning who you are.
So when those questions come, begin somewhere stronger:
Ask yourself who your God is.

He is your Creator. You are His beloved creation. He sees you. He knows you. And you belong to Him.
