EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

Can you honestly say that you are living by God’s standards? Are you Holy? I know, it’s a loaded question. In Jeremiah 23:6, we find the name of our Jehovah, God, which tells us that He is our righteousness. God is our righteousness! When we accept what Jesus has done for us, then we are called as believers to live by God’s standards and be holy as He is holy.

We can walk around on any given day and listen to people’s chatter and hear them say, ” I work so hard; I deserve this, or, why does that person get so much? I deserve that too!…” they believe they have rights and want to exercise their rights. But the Bible tells us we are not our own because we were bought with a price. We can no longer live the way we “want” to live. We are bought with a high price tag by God!

This scripture below made me shudder in my spot one day when I saw my sin before me. I prayed something strong to God and then opened my Bible which was laying on my chest. I will never forget it as I closed my eyes, placed my finger in the Bible and opened to this passage. GOD SPOKE! I was living in an ungodly relationship at the time, thinking I would win this person to Christ eventually and all would be better. I was afraid to speak out truth to them though. I knew what I needed to do was to end that relationship but I was hesitating. God made me move quickly that day through this scripture…

“Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? Who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

When we belong to Jesus and become His servant, we do not “deserve anything” but to become the clay in His hands. We need to read scripture and then be shaped for His purpose!

God is our Lord and Master over us and He is righteous. He will mold us into His perfection to be the way we were created to be for His glory. We are His subjects who deserve nothing, and He is King over us all. Amen. I’m so thankful I bowed my knee and said “yes, Lord, I will obey you this moment.” I did, I ended that relationship moments later.

I set my sight on following…. Jesus 100%! Me deserving nothing, but asking Him about everything before I make any move now. And God continues to mold me and make me each day and I love Him and how He does it!

Please allow Him room to work in your life. It’s worth it all.

And my body clearly was not honoring God in what I was doing.

Do we deserve anything, really?
