EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
We Have Hope!
Can birth and death in this life, past, present, and future, all be intertwined?
Jesus’s life, from beginning- to the day He hung on the tree, gives us a message of “hope” because of the “gift” of Christ.
He came as one of us into the mess of our lives to bring us salvation. The Father had promised Him, the prophet had spoken of Him, but then the prophets were silent. After waiting so many years in silence from God, the Father spoke, and it was through the cry of a baby’s voice, He gave us His Son, Jesus.
Hope is born. Hope is alive.
Even in the midst of all of life’s chaos, messiness and hard things, we can all use a reminder that all is not hopeless as long as God is alive and in control of His world.
Hope.
The baby born to a virgin who grew up to be the perfect sacrifice for sin, isn’t dead. The Virgin Mary, by God’s grace, recognized that she needed the Savior. This is not just a story told at Christmas, it is to be shared continuously year-round.
The Bible never says that Mary was anyone but an ordinary human. God chose to use her in an extraordinary way! Just like He chooses how to use each of us.
Come as you are!
The Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15 that, “If our hope in Christ is for this life alone, we are to be pitied more than all men. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.” (1 Corinthians 15:18-20)
And those who put their trust in Him will never be hopeless. They have both promise for the present and confidence for the future. And nothing in heaven or earth can separate us from His love for us or keep Him from fulfilling His plan for our lives each day we have breath.
No matter your mess, circumstances or qualifications, God loves you!
Come as you are and believe with confidence that He is the only One we’ll ever need and He can do the impossible!
When Jesus was preparing His disciples for His coming death He told them that death is a kind of birth. Perhaps birth and death, this life, past/present/future… are all intertwined together. ? This is our hope. Our hope is in the One who gives life, takes away life, and gives new life! Our hope is that one day we will be born again and into the very presence of God. But for now we await the coming of the Christ, knowing even as we wait that Christ indeed has come. He lives in us, as He once lived within Mary, and now gives us hope also.
When He returns, praise God, our hope will become our reality and our new eternal life. ❤️
