EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“Your lives light up the world. For how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop? And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light.” ( Matthew 5:14-15)
Scripture has an answer for everything. The Bible is clear on distinct positions that it takes on various stances we take as we live life. Please don’t be a “mask wearer” and step out boldly in faith against the moral decay that infiltrates your surroundings.
We need to live our lives by the Word of God and obey all of His commands within. God’s word tells us that we “need” to “let our light shine before men.” (Matthew 5:16)
If we watch television, we can get very caught up in “cursing the darkness” and be in a constant state of negative thinking. But God tells us not to do that. He tells us to let our lights shine, even in the moments we are living in right now—and we all have different moments!
Do you realize it is your duty as a daughter of the King to let your light of the gospel shine through your life? And with that light comes all of the POWER and FORCE and AUTHORITY of what God has intended to be accomplished in Jesus’ Name. We don’t need to be high intellectuals to understand what God is speaking into our hearts to share. Share His truth. Share kindly but boldly with others and not with a self-righteous attitude or heart. You have the ability to share God’s truth and share it loudly!
Please don’t play into or be part of the decaying culture around you. Don’t get caught up with a bad attitude. Fill yourself with the promises that God gives through His word and the love that He tells you to share with others. Please go to work and share Jesus with the authority given to you, but also with a true, empathetic heart and with conviction!
Have compassion for those who do not know or understand TRUTH. Can you believe some people still have not heard of Jesus? Hard to believe, but true. I just heard of one today as I interviewed her for a podcast. She was 22 before she ever heard who Jesus was, and she said no one had ever told her. She was a trafficked victim held in captivity and newly found her freedom.
If we want a force of change, we need to be that person to do it. Be silent in the negativity and push forward with positive change with the driving engine that brings Jesus and His light and His love into the world. Be part of “the city that is set on a hill that cannot be hidden.” ( Matthew 5:14)
