EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
God wants us to be right with others before we take our concerns or even our “acts of service” or our “gifts” to Him. He wants us to go first and be reconciled with others and then come and offer Him our gifts… Matthew 5:23-24.
All of us jeopardize our own prayers when we don’t pray them from a right heart. Please pay attention to this… what is in our hearts when we pray has more effect on whether our prayers are answered than the actual prayer itself!
That’s why when we come before God to pray, He wants us to first reconcile, confess anything in our hearts that shouldn’t be there. He doesn’t want anything to separate us from Him. God can not tolerate sin; He is Holy. Do not harbor sin in your heart when you go before Him to pray.
If you ever feel as if your prayers are not being heard, examine your heart and ask God to clearly reveal anything that you might need to confess before Him, do this every time.
By trying to keep your heart clean before God each day when you pray, you can be assured God will hear you. God will reveal to you what should not be there if you ask Him.
