We need to stay steadfast in our faith and avoid the urge to sway or be led astray. As believers, we must be cautious not to be swayed by false teachings or worldly influences.
Actively seek God’s truth through Scripture daily, resisting temptation, and having a focused, discerning mind.
2 Timothy 4:4 warns against turning away from the truth and being captivated by myths and endless words that sway us! It says:
“They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”
What do we do instead???
“Instead be strengthened by grace, and not by external things like food, and to avoid being carried away by strange and diverse teachings.” (Hebrews 13:9)
I love how God’s Word shares the importance of staying rooted in foundational truths of the gospel. We are to be discerning about the teachings we receive. Follow up on things yourself! So, reading the Word daily is a must. Do not be swayed by anything false. How would you know otherwise unless you are grounded in God’s word? You wouldn’t.
The Bible is our ultimate source of truth and guidance, and please be encouraged to study it diligently and don’t sway or be led away.
By trusting in the Lord and seeking His wisdom, we are pointed to staying on the right path.
