EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
What does honeycomb symbolize in the Bible? Let’s read some of God’s Word to find out…
King Solomon, best known for his wisdom, noted, “My son, eat honey for it is good, and the dripping of the honeycomb are sweet to your taste” in Proverbs 24:13. When we dig in deep to study, he compares bees and honey to represent wisdom and fulfillment. When we are gaining insight, it feels rewarding and delightful, like the sweet taste of honey.
“Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.” (Proverbs 16:24)
God’s Word compares the honey from a honeycomb to show its sweetness to us. How sweet are our words we speak out each day? Can you compare your words to the honeycomb???
When we are about to lose it, as in our tempers, our thoughts that proceed our words should be highly considered before they leave our mouths. Yes, we should think twice about the words that will proceed out of our mouths, especially on occasions when we get angry!
“Therefore let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouths except that which is good and will administer grace unto the hearers.” (Ephesians 4:29)
May God give us His sweetness that flows like honey from our body in every way.
