Dear ladies,
We need God’s wisdom to get through life successfully because it’s hard to distinguish what is truly right with just our own understanding. God’s wisdom will help us discern and make good decisions. Otherwise, we’re just floundering around doing what we think is best (which isn’t really best) or doing whatever we want (which can be worse).
Much of our happiness in life depends on gaining wisdom and knowledge. It took me years to decide that the wisdom of this world is nothing compared to what God has shown me through asking for “His” wisdom!
Only God can bestow the gifts of “His” wisdom and knowledge. Don’t we all need to discern and be sensitive to what is really good for our lives and what is evil? We can not go through life “thinking” we are doing right when in fact, we are so easily deceived!
God’s word says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”(Prov. 9:10) All of the treasures of true wisdom are hidden in the Lord and are freely given if we ask!
God’s wisdom brings life…long life, wealth, recognition, protection, enjoyment, contentment, and happiness…I can go on and on…who doesn’t want this for their life?
James 1:5 says:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God who will give generously to any of us who ask.”
God word is truth. Are we too proud in thinking we are wise in our own strength to ask Him for “His Godly wisdom”? I know I ask Him almost every day when I pray. It’s part of my prayer life. I want to hold on to His promises knowing He generously gives to me when I ask. It’s such a comfort. ❤
