EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
God has so many things to communicate to us on a daily basis. He wants to meet us where we are and take us where He wants us to go.
“There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.” (Proverbs 19:21-22)
I had to learn to tune out many distractions and voices in my head to hear clearly what God wanted to say to me. He gave me His voice through the power of the Holy Spirit at work within me. When you listen for His direction, trust His word, and lean not on your own understanding, you’ll see things begin to fit your plans.
Why?
Because your plans will become His plans, you’ll walk with Him, talk with Him, and commune with God each day you breathe. (if your mind is spinning uncontrolled, you cannot hear His voice)
Are we the victims of the emotional bacteria of the season inside our heads? Or do we have a choice?
Take captive your thoughts.
Paul says we do: “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Please don’t preoccupy your mind with your own plans because then you pay homage to an idol. “Control” can be an idol that arises in any of our lives if we don’t listen to God’s voice and allow Him to take over.
“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”
(Psalm 62:8)
