EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Unforgiveness in your heart is like having poison in your veins. It can lead to death if you don’t seek the antidote. Forgiving people who have hurt us is extremely hard to do. You can feel pain from what they have caused you, making it difficult to release true forgiveness.
Trying to take control or revenge on a specific person will only further complicate the destruction of yourself. God clearly says in His Word, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay says the Lord” (Romans 12:19)
No one claims it’s easy to forgive a wrong that comes against us; however, you can counteract the poison by moving forward into forgiving anyone who has offended you. How does one do this?
Trust God and choose to forgive, God will take care of the rest, in His time. By doing this you are taking an action in the form of obedience. Look at it as your “seed” of obedience in this step of following in God’s Word.
Don’t allow your unforgiveness to hinder your own faith from working; creating a barrier. Confess it- then go to the person immediately- do not wait and allow bitterness to brew. Don’t give the devil any foothold. Unforgiveness is an awful poison dear sister. A wicked poison to YOU.
God’s word clearly tells us throughout to forgive and be forgiven. Get rid of all the death that could come from unforgiveness, bitterness, and resentment. Restore all communication with your Creator as you confess your sin. Give the other offending party over to God. Your life will become alive as the burden is lifted from your heart and mind and you can then walk in the refreshing restoration with your Father. Please pray and leave the rest to Him, He will take care of your situation. Do your part and be right with God.
