VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Chasing Sunsets
There are moments in life when we’re asked to step out of our routine—to pause what we’re doing and lean into something that matters more.
For our family, it started with a simple request: to chase the sunset.
What began as one daughter’s desire became a tradition. We found ourselves rushing out the door, driving through unfamiliar places, all to catch a glimpse of the sky at just the right moment.
Some sunsets were breathtaking. Others were quiet and subtle. But every single one held beauty.
And almost every time, the most vibrant colors appeared at the very end.
“Blessed are all who wait for Him.” —Isaiah 30:18 (NIV)
It reminded me how often we leave too soon—missing what God is still unfolding.
These moments became more than just chasing sunsets. They became memories, reminders, and glimpses of God’s glory woven into our everyday lives.
“What no eye has seen… the things God has prepared…” —1 Corinthians 2:9 (NIV)
Sometimes, the invitation is simple.
Slow down.
Stay a little longer.
Look a little deeper.
You may just see something you would have otherwise missed.
