Happy Mothers Day Women World Leaders mom’s.
If you’re a mom, have a mom, know a mom, becoming a mom, asking God for a miracle mom, or have someone you “love” like a mom, would we all agree a mom has value in the eyes of God?
God created all mothers; they belong to Him. He speaks clearly in His word about ALL mothers, “not just certain ones”, but ALL moms.
A mother’s love reflects the love of God. Motherhood would not be possible without the Lord, ever. Jesus had unwavering love for His mother.
Mary set a standard for us all to follow: that we should honor our own mothers. We may not always agree with them, but God says we should honor them just the same, and we must obey Him, after all, He’s God. He has a PURPOSE for this, a reason why He put that command in His Word. Do we question God? Do we make excuses to God why we aren’t obeying Him? No, there should be no excuses on our part.
Do we ever realize the sacrifice it took to bear a child, raise a child, and let a child go? Therefore value placed in motherhood, should be honored. Those who have adult children understand the significance of such a threefold sacrifice.
Proverbs 31:28-31 says,” Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
Strength and dignity are her clothes, and she opens her mouth with wisdom; teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
(We should all strive to be this character of a mom.)
Are moms ever perfect? No. No one is, and where grace is needed, grace should be given. But we should strive for this character as in Proverbs 31.
Matthew 15:4 God said, “Honor your Father and Mother, and anyone who curses them is to be put to death.”
Deuteronomy 5:16 says, “Honor your Father and Mother as God has ‘commanded’ you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land your God has given you.
Please, show respect to these verses and give a mother, hopefully your mother- if you still have her here, the honor that God says she deserves today and every day she’s alive. You may not agree with your mom at times through this life, but God is the One you must take your troubles to.
You may need to forgive, or be forgiven by her. If you struggle…whatever the struggle might be, let us all take to heart that God is watching our attitudes and our moves in obedience to His Word. Surrender your hurts if you have them, to our loving God, to cover you in the way you need covering. He will help you through this. He loves you and understands.
Mothers are to be loved and honored as Jesus says, and may today be that day that you as a mom would be honored and your mom would be honored by you in the way God says. What a testimony that can be. Please pray and step out in faith- especially if you struggle here.
Shower your mom with love and grace and show mercy as given by God, just as you hope your own children will do for you someday, maybe even today.
If you’re a mom, may your children honor you and celebrate you on this special day. If, for whatever reason, they don’t choose to honor you, that’s between them and God, and pray for them. Please allow God to ease your hurts. Many of us have compassion and empathy for those who ache on this day, but it’s only God who could ease your pain… He will never leave you or let you go. He loves you unconditionally.
May God bless you abundantly as you honor Him on this day.
