VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Housecleaning

When Jesus entered the temple and saw what was happening, He didn’t ignore it.
He acted.

The temple had become filled with things that didn’t belong—distractions, corruption, and misplaced priorities. So Jesus cleared it out.
Not to destroy—but to restore.

That moment challenges me to ask:
What has taken up space in my heart that doesn’t belong?
Sometimes, things slowly move in—habits, distractions, attitudes—and before we know it, they’ve shifted our focus away from God.
Jesus didn’t gently suggest change. He took action.

Yet even in His strength, there was purpose. He corrected what was out of place.
Scripture reminds us:
“Zeal for your house will consume me.” — John 2:17

Our hearts are now His dwelling place.
So what needs to be cleared out?
What is distracting you from true worship?
When we invite God to do the cleaning, He restores what matters most.
