EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
When we praise God and when we pray to God, we are verbalizing our Faith to Him. There is a magnificent power executed when we praise and thank God in advance for things that we pray about.
There is a scripture that actually shares this importance of praising and thanking God in advance.
“The king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising Him for His holy splendor. This is what they sang; “Give thanks to the Lord; His faithful love endures forever!” (2 Chronicles 20:21)
The way in which we show God that we have Faith is by thanking Him in advance for any answers to our prayers yet to be prayed. I learned to say thank you in ALL of my prayers as I began them because I believe it conveys my faith in God’s promises to me. God’s promises and my gratitude for them show I believe God hears me and will answer my prayers according to His will.
Just like this army of people the one the scripture above talked about, they believed that by thanking God in advance through their singing, they showed faith. They were believing God would answer their prayers. And He did. Read verse 22! God delivered them.
When we can TRUST God in any situation we encounter, and we can BELIEVE He hears us, great things happen from our faith. We know God answers us according to His will, and for this reason, we can thank Him and praise Him that He’s the God of deliverance. In fact, try making up a song and just sing it to God. Don’t laugh, try it… God will love it in the quiet moments of just you and Him.
