EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Growing up as a 13-year-old, when I accepted Christ into my heart as my Savior, I believed God’s word before I even opened up the Bible. I believed by faith.
My anchor of my life soon became built on the solid foundation of God’s word as a young teenager. I humbly accepted whatever God told me as I went to church, read and memorized scriptures and grew. But then the enemy came in the back door. Unfortunately, I let him in.
“So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word of God He has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.” (James 1:21)
When any person can clean up all the garbage and filth and evil out of their life and be willing to repent, they can come back to God and grow. It’s a process. We can’t hear Him speak to us when we have filth and sin in our lives. So garbage needs to exit first, every old thing that occupied our minds that was evil and make room to hear God’s truth. When I began to trust God by Faith and believe He could forgive my ugliness, the Word of God became alive to me.
Although I still make mistakes in my life, and we all do, and some of them could be big and major, God gives us instruction to follow. God provides the truth from the Word of God that convicts and helps us all correct our evil ways.
How did I make correction in my later life when messy stuff happened? From the word of God and what I knew from when I first believed! I repented and confessed my sin and chose to learn from it. I accepted and trusted God’s Word, and in doing so, it brought forth the fruit of obedience in my life.
God does forgive a repentive heart for each of His children. He forgives our mistakes. Accept what God plants as seeds of truth in your mind and heart, and let those seeds take root and grow.
Your Bible needs to be significantly solidified in your mind as TRUTH and ALL you’ll need for every answer before you even open it up! Trust God and trust His Word. It will change your life forever.
