VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
The Joy of the Toughest Testimony
Some of the testimonies we least want to share are the very ones God uses to change lives.
Over the years, I’ve walked through several difficult seasons. If I could have chosen my testimony, I might have picked something easier. But God often works through the hardest parts of our story.
Scripture reminds us,
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life.” (James 1:12)
There was a time when I rushed through relationships and made decisions without waiting on God’s guidance. Later, those experiences became part of the testimony I shared with young people about trusting God’s timing.
Another chapter of my story came when my young son drowned in a tragic accident. By God’s miraculous grace, he was resuscitated and eventually walked out of the hospital healed. That moment changed our family forever and became a powerful reminder that God still answers prayer.
I have also experienced the heartbreak of multiple miscarriages. Each loss carried deep grief. Yet even in those moments, God continued to show His faithfulness.
As I began writing about these experiences, God surprised me once again with a beautiful blessing—a new pregnancy, a “rainbow baby” after loss.
Our trials often become the testimony that points others to God’s goodness.
When we share how God met us in our darkest moments, we give others hope.
The story that once brought pain can become a testimony that leads someone else to Jesus.
