EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
More and more, we see wounded family and friends with compromised faith because they are so deeply hurt. I think they forget that God is able and eager to meet their needs. Everything is “little” to our “Big” God!
God grows us and increases our faith as we pray!
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)
I learned through my prayer time with God that I’m not bothering Him with my requests! When I go through terrible hurts in my life, and I do, I just draw closer and closer to God in my prayer time. Who else can I turn to who knows my needs and fills them by His promises of truth?
I know, and I have learned that my worry won’t resolve anything, but my prayer time- will.
God teaches me, as His daughter, to trust Him completely and not get bitter and move away from Him. What else do I have when I have a major issue? Do I put my trust in people? No! God grows my faith the more I tell Him I need to increase it, so I talk to Him about it, read scripture, and pray my heart to Him. And then I see things come to fruition. God always grows my faith through hurts and crises!
The Bible says, “If you… know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will you’re heavenly Father give… to those who ask him? (Luke 11:13)
It is amazing, but you will see that when you recognize you have a need that only God can fill and express that unmet need to God, He meets your need and grows your trust in Him. God will always relay His goodness to you.
Try it and watch the way He answers your prayers and meets your needs. Look for Him to move. Be obedient and expect from Him. Pray according to His will, always.
Don’t pull away from God when you hurt; count on Him, and rely on God no matter what! Draw closer to Him in severe hurts, not further away.
