EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
I sit here wondering how many prayer requests are never spoken to God because we lose our boldness to bring them before Him. By dwelling on the reasons why God may not answer our prayers, we don’t follow through and talk with Him. Our doubts stand in the way, hindering us from even beginning a prayer of any magnitude.
God created the sun, the moon and the morning, and the night. As I read about Joshua this morning, God told him not to be afraid of the fight that was coming. He had already given them into Joshua’s hand. No one could ever accuse Joshua of lacking boldness in prayer when he ordered the sun and moon to stand still. Yes, he did that! And what happened??? They did! The sun and moon stood still, and God added an extra day. Read about all of this in Joshua 10! God added an extra day. Yes, He did! I can hardly comprehend that myself🙏.
God’s people were fighting a battle in His name, and darkness would have prevented them from attaining victory.
We can all learn a lesson from this. What is that, you may ask… PRAY! PRAY BIG! Right?
Too often, we ask too small of a prayer because we don’t believe God can or will do much, if anything, to move on our behalf.
I have learned not to limit God! He has shown me great and mighty things. In my steps of obedience in following after God’s heart, God moved with me. I exerted extreme faith, trusting and moving with confidence in Christ. I trusted Him – TRUSTED Him to do what I could not physically do.
I saw things begin to happen in this ministry beyond my belief. It was Ephesians 3:20 and so much bigger than the “ask” in my prayers. The more I’ve seen continued to increase my belief. It was revealed through God and His Word. I’d pray in His will and walk in complete obedience, and things happen. Prayers get answered, ladies!!!! Praise God.
Just pray this with faith. “Lord, teach me NOT to limit You with my small thinking and prayers. Give me the FAITH I need to pray “ginormous” prayers to You.”
