EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“And then our immaturity will end! And we will not be easily shaken by trouble, or led astray by novel teachings or by false doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies, but instead we will remain strong and always sincere in our love as we express the truth…” (Ephesians 4:14-15) TPT
I’m reminded of a windy day watching the birds outside. Seeing them “sure-footed,” stable, and happy through the windstorm always amazes me. As tiny as they are in size, it’s like they can face any storm. They still gather their food, play in the water, and seem to flutter around without a care. These tiny creatures that weigh next to nothing never seem to get tossed about.
Imagine if you or I were one of those stable birds without being tossed about through the life challenges that come out of nowhere. How wonderful the thought to remain stable through a storm.
We need to focus ourselves on God, stand steady, stabilizing ourselves through the tough times life throws at us. We don’t know when or where the challenge will come from but most of us can be assured that in this life we will face trials. God’s word tells us trials will happen. (James 1:2-4)
God says we will not easily be led astray or shaken if we are mature believers, sincere in our love and expression of truth. When our immaturity leaves us because we are healthy and strong in our faith, we could stand through any storm that tries to take away our footing. Let us stand firm in our foundation, stable in our stance in Christ Jesus. Amen.
