EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Prayer is a vital way to connect with and experience God’s presence in our lives. We need prayer time as much as God desires us to pray to Him and share our gratitude over what He’s doing and also bring our needs before Him.
About a month and a half ago, I went into some serious prayers over the hearts of both of my daughters, specifically for my oldest and the broken relationship that has been ongoing between us for many years now.
I went on a major 40-day fast of no food and consistent prayer, which ends today. (It’s also my oldest daughter’s “birth” day. What a time of forgiveness.) I believe and have faith that miracles have been taking place all through these 40 days of prayer. I know God can manifest through prayer, revealing His grace, power, and guidance that I have trusted Him in.
My prayer conversation with God has been a way to express the needs I’ve felt over my girls even over all these years. While I’ve continually offered thanks for God’s protection of them over the time of absence in my life, I’ve also asked Him for restoration. I’ve sought the guidance of others as well as confirming it with God’s Word on how to move throughout these years in the waiting. I’ve done everything God has asked me to do to mend the brokenness. But I’m still believing by faith that God will move on it all in His time.
I see how the presence and power of God have become more tangible and visible in my life, especially during this fast. What it has done in this momma’s heart is it has brought more hope! Never give up!
The extreme prayers my husband and I have had together over our kids these past weeks have truly led to even more healing, both physical and emotional… it happened within our bodies and emotions. What a time of great intentional praying together it has been. We have both noticed the release of changes in us. We have received God’s divine guidance and direction through some difficult situations that have happened during this time of fasting. We have covered iso very much in this amazing time of heavy praying. We have been praying over the extreme hurts of other friends as well as our families, and that has been so fulfilling.
God gives divine direction through His Word for us to follow. It’s beautiful to fast and follow Him. I highly recommend it for extreme transformation.
God can perform miracles in response to our prayers. Please believe this! I believed He would do this from the first moment He placed fasting on my heart as a solution 40 days ago. So I entered in. It was by no means easy. I know these prayers over the past 40 days have fostered even a deeper relationship with God, and they have led to even more spiritual growth in both my husband and myself.
“God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will” (Hebrews 2:4.)
So, if you believe the Bible, you know that God is a miracle-working God and a God that’s not limited in any degree or any respect because He’s totally sovereign. So, we can believe in miracles but don’t put your faith in miracles. We must put our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
There’s no problem too big for Jesus to solve (John 6:1-14.) There’s no hunger too deep for Jesus to satisfy (John 6:22-65.) There’s no person too small for Jesus to use (John 6:9) and no mountain containing layers of brokenness that can’t not be penetrated by God. Sacrifice it all to Him with a grateful heart.
“I will sacrifice to you with song of thanksgiving. I will keep my vow. Victory belongs to the LORD. !” (Jonah 2:9)
God moves on our obedience to Him. I believe we will see spiritual transformation take place in the lives of my daughters and our son over what God has done during these past 40 days. I trust God. I will gladly pray for you over anything that may heavily burden your soul as well. Just put it in the comments, and I will pray for YOU!
The Bible contains numerous examples of how God manifested in response to people’s prayers! He will do it for us, too! Ask, have faith, and walk in obedience to what God directs for you in His Word. God healed the sick, parted the Red Sea, and raised the dead. He can do it for all of us. He gives us what we ask for.
Psalm 37:4 contains a great promise! “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Completing these 40 days has given me an even deeper, intimate relationship with God. When we delight in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts. To fully appreciate this promise, we must unpack its meaning and not just read about it but apply it to our lives. I hope this helps you if you’re dealing with something unspeakable. Surrender it to God alone, pray, and maybe consider trying a biblical fast!
Love you all.
