EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE

If we want any hope for the future, we must live by faith.

“The righteous shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17)

When I considered this scripture in the past, I always thought it was describing trusting Christ for the future.

Living by faith means more than just looking into to the future. It means trusting Him with the past, trusting Him with the present, AND trusting Him for the future.

When we can truly trust Jesus with regrets of the past and lay it at His feet we can rest. Our stresses and worries for the now can then be given to Him too, as well as our concerns for anything in the future.

To live by faith in a future hope it means no more wallowing in regret. Choose wisely to live by faith and trust Jesus without a doubt over your today. Understand that YOU need to “choose” to trust Him and believe that He is tying everything all together into something beautiful, and it will all make sense to you one day in your future.

When I choose to live by faith for the future, I stop worrying about what might happen this week, next month, or even next year. This is the opposite of how I used to live, which was constantly in fear and the “what ifs.” I chose to quiet my mind in Christ.

Tell everything to your Lord. Proclaim that Jesus is Lord and that He is with you and that He will never forsake you. Tell Him now! Remind yourself that you will have a future with Christ based on His forgiveness and saving grace! Claim your future by always being in His hands—and always connected to His heart.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him”(Hebrews 11:6).

Your reward is living a future that you can’t even fathom, in heaven, and with God.
