“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)
I don’t know if you do this, but I have to constantly remind myself to keep running. Life gets hard!
Paul’s words are a reminder to us that this life is a journey and comes with difficult things. My son is training hard to gain size in his body for football season, and his prize will be a starting position.
We are all called to train hard, persevere in our faith, and run the race before us. Our prize is heaven and eternal life. How awesome is that?!!! ✨
“I have fought the good fight.” Paul acknowledges the spiritual battles he faced in ministry. He faced opposition, persecution, and hardships, but he KEPT GOING in his purpose! He kept running!
We are called to stand firm in our faith and fight against darkness.🛡️
“I have finished the race.” Paul did not give up or lose heart. He stayed faithful to the end, completing the work God assigned to him. We are called to run our race and train hard, knowing that there is a prize awaiting us at the finish line. I can’t wait!!❤️
“I have kept the faith.” Paul’s victory was in keeping the faith until the end. Despite the challenges/obstacles, he never gave up.
We are called to hold tight to our faith and trust in God’s faithfulness.🙏
I hope you will be encouraged to KEEP GOING in your RACE, knowing that God is with you every step. Let us fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith so that God will look at us and say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
