EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Written today by: Donna Clare, guest writer.
Are we ready and able to lift the arms of another sister, just as Aaron and Hur lifted the arms of Moses?
“I prayed to the Lord, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to Him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; He saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the Lord is a guard; He surrounds and defends all who fear Him.”
(‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:4-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬)
He provides for us in our times of need.
“The Sovereign Lord has given me His words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning He wakens me and opens my understanding to His will.”
(‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭50:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬)
It’s such a privilege to be able to love, support, pray and be available for someone when they need help.
Encouraging them and giving them scriptures is so good as it can lift them up.
Sometimes no words are needed, the fact that you are there is enough, knowing they are not alone.
A great example is in the Old Testament when the Israelites are battling the Amalekites and when Moses staff is in the air, they are winning the battle but when he’s tired and the staff drops the Amalekites start to win and Aaron and Hur see this and they lift His hands and help Moses.  That’s what we are here to do for each other in this world. Lift one another up when we are struggling.
