Calling
Do you feel that you have a calling on your life given by God?
I can assure you if you know Jesus as your Savior, you do.
When I was lost in my sin and living for myself, I would always think about, “why am I here?” “What is my purpose?” I know the enemy wanted to keep me blinded in my sin and not focused on what God’s purpose was for my life, so He would keep me distracted.
One of the clearest descriptions of the Gospels call on our lives is found in 2 Corinthians 5:18…
“God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself.”
I thank God over and over how He used the apostle Paul to open up the mystery of our being made “right with God” through the finished work of Christ on the cross. This “call” has gone out from our Heavenly Father into the hearts of each us, His lovers.
You and I have a calling on our lives if we are Christ followers. God has called you to and is entrusting you to carry the message of Christ into the world. That’s a HUGE calling we are to do whenever the opportunity presents itself. Don’t shy away from people, learn to be BOLD in your faith.
One of the biggest things I had to overcome was my feeling of “unworthy.” I felt unworthy to testify to anyone because of my sinful past. But as my mind and heart are renewed, all things are made new, as God says through His Word.
I can do my calling and shout God from the mountains. You can to! Try it. Team up with other believers and begin holy life alliances that draw unbelievers to Jesus. No, you don’t have to do your calling alone. We could use you right here. It’s a calling you may ask God to help you grasp! Pray about it.
