EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“Be still before the Lord, all mankind…” (Zechariah 2:13)
Wait quietly in God’s presence while His thoughts form silently in the depths of your soul.
With all the “busyness of ministry”, yet fun that surrounds my days, I know that time with God could become compromised if I don’t consciously make time alone with God and me. I am sure many of us experience what myself and many others are feeling when life is flying by so quickly.
It’s not bad that our lives are so busy these days unless we are absent from the presence of God. We can’t allow this to happen, ever!
We need to recharge deeper on some days when we know our spiritual health is in need or when we are missing moments with God alone.
God is the creator of the universe, yet He chooses to make His humble home in our hearts. When we are rushing around, the hurrying keeps our hearts earthbound. God wants us to know Him intimately, and it’s in the stillness that He can speak to us with His “holy whispers.”
If we can’t ever stay still, how can we quiet our minds enough to hear the still, small voice inside of us? Chances are we can not.
“Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
There is no emotion we can experience that’s better than being in the still presence of God. There is an incredible emotion that arises though in the “peace” of the stillness. This peace is pure comfort and it’s because you purposely make the time to be in the presence of God and you. May this word simmer in our thoughts when we need to slow down a bit.❤
