EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

“We can make our own plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” (Proverbs 13:9)

God calls us 100% to surrender and follow Him. He does not call us “part in” and “part out” believers, or whenever we are in the mood to be called a Christian, we straighten up to God’s standards. God does not work that way.  He does give grace, yes, but He does not tolerate ongoing sin.

God is Holy. He calls us to be holy as He is holy.

When caught in selfishness and shame and guilt of it all, how would you react?

Different events can cause us to react in ways that aren’t always good.

More than that, this described who would be “me” in a portion of my life. I needed Jesus and ALL OF HIM, not just the words that “I knew Him.” My actions had to back my belief, but they did not when I was living in my own desires.

I believed the lies and tried to better myself. I believed I wasn’t worthy. I believed God couldn’t love me where I was, and with what I did and how I was living at that time, but I kept trying to overcome the lie I believed. I was on a hamster wheel of no results.

But He could, and He does resolve our conflict. He met me right where I was in my sin. Finally, I believed my Father’s love and mercy were greater than my shame. I knew I had to trust Him by faith to come out of the situation I was living in. And through my sobs, I dropped to my knees, and reached higher than I ever could on my own, and accepted the love of the One who knew me best. I have not looked back. I trusted by faith in complete surrender of my life to His.

That noble November marks my redemption anniversary. Now, for nearly 18 years, He holds my whole heart. He bought me with His blood. My name is written on His heart, and I belong to my King.

For those who are thinking you are in a situation you can not escape, yes, you can. And only by God’s forgiving grace! You can be His forgiven child. God’s gift of salvation is yours only for the asking.

“For by grace are you saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves, It is the gift of God. Not by works so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
