God has you in place to help others become strong in their faith! Do you trust God to help you do this?
I believe God wants us to pray for others, and directly ask Him to fill them with the knowledge of His will, with spiritual wisdom, and understanding so they can bear fruit.
We have a hard task to talk with others on tough issues at hand, it is never any easy conversation, but we take it to God and ask Him for a word to give them. Just like God gave the apostle Paul words to help others, in Colossians, Paul prayed for them, he thanked God for them, and he pointed them to scripture with examples. God will help you like he helped Paul.
Pray that God would give you the discipline to set your mind on Heavenly things, and always be ready to help others get to a place they can think about God and be Heavenly minded.
Be fruitful in your life and reflect the love of God. Reflect His mercy, His truth, His purity, His kindness and gentleness, and everything you have learned from scripture to be a living testimony of self-control.
Pray for others as Paul prayed in Colossians…”For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through spiritual wisdom and understanding.” (Colossians 1:9)
Our Bibles are filled with good instruction. We just need to read them often, if not daily! We must be prepared always to give account to anyone who asks us of where we get our hope. In order to do that, we must read, pray and ask.
