EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
When you started your day today, did you take on the mind of Christ? I know when I wake up, I ask God to help make me conscious that my life ahead for that day should reflect everything about God, showing others why I am still alive. I thank Him and ask Him to help me live for Him today.
To “take on the mind of Christ” refers to having the mind of Christ, which means adopting Christ’s thoughts, attitudes, and motivations as our own. We need to ask for His understanding and align with God’s will and purposes for us.
By having the mind of Christ, we have a transformation of our thinking, enabling us as believers to discern spiritual truths and understand God’s plan for our day, our night, our week and month and on and on as long as God allows us to stay on this earth.
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus”(Philippians 2:5-8) and (1 Corinthians 2:16) “But we have the mind of Christ”.
Today, may you choose to believe God’s truth rather than your own feelings or circumstances, and set aside earthly concerns to focus on God’s will for your life. It’s not easy to surrender this because if you’re like me, control sets in sometimes, and I can tend to do the day on my own. I intentionally need to take continuous effort to put on the mind of Christ!
We must spend time in prayer today. Read the Bible, and seek God’s guidance! Allow His Holy Spirit to renew your mind as you graciously give it to Him in release today. May your life, dear sister, reflect Christ’s life and love in you today.
