There is a word that can have so many meanings unless it is spelled out to its use… what does your yes mean?
Sometimes, your Yes can mean No!
Our No matters because our yes matters!
Any time we say yes, we say no. Example: If we say yes to working too many hours at a job(beyond what God asks), we say no to family and maybe friends or the sacred life rhythm God offers us when we are in alignment. How many of us need to think deeper on this? I know I do. And often!
If we say yes to serving on 5 committees at church, we say no to times of rest in God’s presence, where we receive fresh revelation from Him.
When we say yes to purchasing more items than we can afford, we say no to financial freedom and to the adventure of giving away lots of money to Kingdom causes around the world.
When we say yes to overindulgence-on any level-we say no to soul freedom, and we give the enemy opportunity to destroy our lives and our influence.
How many of us need to STOP-PAUSE and think about what we are saying when we use this powerful three-letter word without really thinking? Use your pause button, take a moment to think and pray before you answer, and really consider what your “yes” means when someone asks you for something.
